The kids and their home life with parents and siblings. Demons, spirits, and the depth of enraged power, they can have. They were necessary to an extent to try to lay out a foundation.

What did you enjoy about this book?

I liked that Nate had the courage to step out of his comfort zone and attend a top university. He handles adversity well. He was compassionate with his mother and her struggles. He chooses to work and help her, instead of just complaining and following the bad crowd.
