What did you like most about the book? The strength that keeps showing through Marti’s life. She always hopes that things will get better.

What did you like least? Shortly after arriving in Japan, Marti is at the apartment that becomes her home for the new few weeks. She encounters Samoan and he abuses her. Takes me back to a time I am not interested in remembering.

Did you like the way the book ended? The ending was perfect. The best part, the author is making amends to clean up the area around her house.

What do you think will be your lasting impression of this book? Yes, knowing that this happens daily it is nice to know she has recovered and survived this horrible experience.
